Ants start to get into our house. Crawling in our wall, in the ceiling, and inside the house where they stay. I tried using chalk and it worked but after few minutes they have a new path to go to. I am so irritated with these ants.

Aspartame (NutraSweet) is a neuropoison. It most likely kills the ants by interfering with their nervous system. It could be direct, like stopping their heart, or something more subtle like killing their sense of taste so they can’t figure out what is eatable, or smell, so they can’t follow their trails, or mis-identify their colonies members, so they start fighting each other. Not sure what causes them to end up dying, just know that for many species of ants it will kill them quickly and effectively.
As with any poison I recommend wearing gloves and washing any skin areas that come in contact with this poison, and avoid getting it in your mouth, despite anything the labeling may indicate.
The article went on to say that the NutraSweet should be slightly moistened to be attractive to ants.

I hate, hate, hate ants! And you're right, they will find a new place to come in as soon as you close one passage.

I use boric acid powder, available in supermarkets and hardware stores in a big squirt bottle.

First you have to get rid of the foods they like, whether it's sweets or protiens and fats. Rinse dishes with a little soapy water if you can't run the dishwasher right away.

What I have done: trace back to see where the trail is coming in, and close the hole if possible. You can use spackle, caulk, putty -- I've heard that some people use toothpaste, seriously. If you can't plug up the hole, shoot some boric acid in there. It gets into cracks really well.

When there are a lot of ants, I vacuum them up with a little boric acid. If you just vacuum them without the poison, they will crawl right back out of the vacuum.

When they come in somewhere else, do the same thing there. Eventually, you WILL hit all the places.

I had some of those pesty ants coming into my kitchen on the cabinets, it is on an outside wall. I also had some come into the utility room where I fed my Feline American. I used some of the cleaner with bleach and poured it along the foundation just outside my kitchen. I also sprayed the same along the woodwork where the ants came into the utility room. I am happy to report I have had NO MORE ANT'S. I even seen some of the aunt hills in the yard and poured some on them and they all went South. LOL
Good luck.

Find the source! Find an ant, and follow it. We bought this yellow foamy stuff, and just sprayed it into the hole, it seemed to work. No more ants! :)

They won't cross a line of salt, so try that.
Ants are very resourceful and will find new ways to get to something they want like water or sugar.

Not 100% positive, just that's what I have been told before.

Sprinkle NutraSweet packets around her they are gathering. They'll eat it and it will kill them. (Makes you wonder what it does to people.)
