My skin gets so dry so I use Vaseline Intensive Care lotion on my face but as the day goes on my face becomes very oily. What can I do?

You should use a lotion intended for the face, they are formulated just to prevent that oily feeling.

I have extremely dry skin, and Nivea (the blue container) works very well and way better than their intensive moisturizing cream for face. This stuff will not make your face as oily. The other products and the home remedies suggested above would probably work too. When I use lotion my skin feels really tight, so I guess you be better off with anything other than a body lotion.

I have really super dry skin too. What really works for me is washing with Pond's Cold Cream morning and evening, moisturizing at night with Mary Kay emollient night cream (looks like pink Vaseline), and using an evening moisturizer during the day (currently using Estee Lauder). I put on the moisturizer first thing in the morning and let it soak in for about 15 - 30 minutes before I put on makeup (currently Estee Lauder age-minimizing foundation which is very moisturizing). I do a Vaseline facial (put Vaseline on then cover with a moist warm cloth til heat is lost) once a week. Hope this helps!

Start using lotion. I use ST.IVE'S LOTION. My skin gets like that too sometimes. When you go shopping, read at the back of labels and lotion bottles. That will help. Plus if you by a good bath set that contains all kinds of stuff in it, that will improve your skin, also. (Vaseline clogs your pores! Keep doing it if you want, but that can prevent bumps!!! But everyone's skin is different.)

Don't try to use Vaseline because it's too oily and thick. Try using a brand called Curel..it works a lot better and isn't oily or sticky

Get these products and use them because they work wonders on my skin! I used to have that same issue with my skin and I love these oils and lotions! Let me know what you think after you try them! Get the massage oil called purely essential and put it on your face and I don't know how but it works like a charm!
