I'm 15 and I have acne, and was wondering how often should I steam my face? I heard steaming it too much was bad, so how often should I do it?

once or twice a week, not more then that. And don't rub your face afterward, pat it dry and then apply an astringent such as witchhazel, also called hamamelis available at pharmacies or healtfood stores and then follow with a moisturizer that doesn't clog your pores, talk to a cosmetician. Probably something from Neutragena.

Once or twice a week depending on your skin type and season (winter skin is dryer). Be sure to wash your face after you've steamed to wash off the dirt released by your pores. Everyone is different. It's simple; if you feel your skin is drying out, cut back on the steam baths. By the way, this is really good for you if you have a cold or sinus infection, too.

I did it only once or twice the most every week. but to be honest with you, it will not clear up your whole face, it will help stop a bit of your pimples but wont get remove them all. If you really want clear skin, i am telling you proactive is the way to go. it opens up your pores and gets deep into them and clears it away. If you want sexy looking skin do that. But if you just want to steam it and hope for the best and get ride of one or two pimples than dont steam any more than two times a week and only for five mins that is it, and pat dry.

Steam or even hot water will dry your skin out a lot more than what you want.I would choose a different method. Types of food especially oily or greasy foods won't help either. Go to the drug store and they can probably give you something good at a low cost.

No amount of steaming is bad. It also helps if you rub your whole face with alcohol after you steam. hurts like hell but worked for me.

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

Hei, don't steam your face. It will spoil your skin and you feel so dry.
Use good face wash, scrub and pure rose water as a toner.
