I am so sorry this happened to you.. My best friend ( at the time she has changed so much after this and I don't blame her. ) lost her daughter to a man that she thought loved her and her kids. The man beat and hit her daughter real hard in the stomach and it killed her a day before her 4th birthday. He also had been raping her. This tore us all up and none of us have been the same. All you can do is pray for strength from god and get some counseling. Nothing will ever make this right but you must fight for justice for your daughter in some way and let other people know how domestic abuse it wrong. I would like to invite you to join a web site called angelswithbrokenwings@yahoo.com it's for victims of violence and abuse. I will pray for you. Email me if you have any questions about the group. lisa_sonydadc@yahoo.com

My love and prayers are for you. One of my friends was killed by a sexual predator. It took over 1000 days from the day Dru was murdered until her murderer was convicted. Her family has coped the only way it could, by taking one day at a time, and by working to make other people aware of these horrible crimes, so that Dru would never lose her voice.
Domestic violence is our secret shame, the burden which we bear in the silences when we think no one can know. I lived there, too.

first of all i want to say im sorry for your loss. i know that a death of family member is always hardest on the parents. my brother died about 11 months ago and at first we thought it was that he fell asleep while driving but further investigation showed that the guy in front of him cut him off and hit his front end forcing him off the road. not exactly murder but kinda. i still am not able to believe this, but when we were in court with the guy i got arrested for attacking him and breakin his nose. that, sad enough, was the only thing that has helped so far. it felt so good. theres on way to get over the loss of a loved one except to realize that they are gone for a reason and they are in a happier place now. again im extremly sorry for your loss and i will pray for you.

Dude... that's sad. I have a friend who has a friend whose boyfriend shot himself right in front of her, of course he died. But yeah, she didn't cry or anything. I guess just keep it in. Deal with it? I dunno, I'd cry every time something reminded me of the person.
