hhhmmmmm....i admit i cheated on this one...i read the other responses. this is an awkward situation no matter how you cut it..i feel your best bet is to meet at an agreed place...where both will have the least anxiety and see how things go...i think the longer you wait, the more difficult the possibility of the relationship working becomes....carpe diem...aka "seize the moment"........good luck

no haven't been there but alot of times it's easier to just Im or e-mail or chat when you actually meet in person reality will set in and sometimes from what I've heard the person wasn't quite truthful about themselves you never know who you are really dealing with on-line please be very careful and have a friend or family go with you to be near by . on the other hand there are Internet success stories that lead to lone term or marriage but it can go either way good luck hope it still feels the same for both of you

Don't worry about meeting the guy. Usually, when you love someone for that long, it doesn't matter what they look like, you just love them for some reason. And if he doesn't feel the same, I know it's hard, but it just wasn't meant to be. I hope it works out, but if it doesn't, I promise you you'll find the right guy in time. Good luck ^__^

most people fall in love with the idea of falling in love. I agree with the first person, meet them as soon as passable. and yes your interpretations and expectations may differ from reality, so dont feel bad if things happen out that way.

If feelings change because of appearence, then I suggest you search your feelings for him. Love is not about appearence, it is an emotion, coming from the heart and soul.

If you've been talking that long and you are in love, it shouldn't matter the physical appearance of the person. You know the person for who they are, that should be enough.
