because you both love each other and can't stand to be without each other, you make each other feel good and share the same interests. Some one to grow old with to look back on all the things that you have been together and still held up. To be able to share both good and bad and that your mate was always by your side no matter what. Treating you just like he or she did when you firdt met, like when you were first in love. To have a family and know that they were raised by both parents and turned out all right. To have fun with the grandkids. to depend on someone whenyour sick and go it alone...................

To start a family of your own with someone that you HONESTLY love and care about. If a person has doubts about why they are getting married then I do not believe they should get married cause it will most likely end in divorce.

For me, it's knowing that God is our witness, and gives us blessing to be man and wife. To be able to start a new chapter in my book, to start a life with the man I am in love with and will forever be in love with. To have children, grow happily old with, and do everything together with. It's knowing that the vows that we make are sacred and just for us. Marriage is that stepping stone in my life where I know that I have my husband who's going to have this endless love for me, no matter what we go through, all the trials and tribulations that are in store for us. It's the joining of two souls, and two families, into one big soul, and one family.

use to be because you love he/her and wanted to be with them for life and have kids together and be a happy family.Now people get married for other reason not real love least 80 percent don't,they love this one to day and that one tomorrow and cheat and hurt each other and the family if they have kids and never give it a though what it really does to the lost spouse and kids when the family is gone apart,it is sad the law makes it to easy for people to get a divorce.

A lot of people believe it is God's will for people to become committed to each other and legally bound. However, with the divorce rate the way it is why do people bother.
I've been with my man almost 9 years and marriage will do nothing to change our relationship. It is just a piece of paper.

For me it was he was the love of my life he was the only man that I ever loved. He was also the father of my children and the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. He was the person that I wanted to go to sleep next to every night as well as wake up with every morning for the rest of my life.
