Because Asians are polite and not given to yelling in public. They are respectful of others so they aren't the squeaky wheels. I find Blacks recieve most of the affirmative action benefits. Hispanics actually WANT to work and keep their families together. Blacks will pull the race card forever. I'm tired of being PC. Everyday, I see rude blacks who think I owe them something. I don't owe them **** and I'm sick of the BS.

Blacks DON"T "have it so good." it is still a much steeper up-hill climb for Blacks than for Whites. The question should be "Is affirmative action helping get us cloer to racial equality in Amreica?"

You are a perfect example as to why I believe affirmative action actually does more harm than good for the black community.

I feel affirmative action encourages MORE bigotry against blacks.
1. It creates the image that blacks need special help, that standards need to be lowered in order for blacks to succeed. How can that attitude be viewed as anything but insulting!
2. It casts doubt as to wheter the person you are dealing with got the job because he was the best, or just because he just had the right skin shade.
3. It gives whites an excuse to why blacks have all the breaks & why they need to help "their own people" instead of being equal.

Every time I hear someone say they know someone who didn't get a certain job because they hadn't met thier "quota" of Blacks, I cringe, knowing this just perpetuates more bigotry. It doesn't matter if it's the truth or just a loser's excuse for not getting a job. If people believe it as the truth, the effect is the same.

Affirmative action has it's good and bad points but generally, if you look at education results, Asians out-perform most other racial groupings while hispanics and blacks tend to do worse. This is nothing to do with intelligence but socio-economic and cultural differences. Blacks and hispanics simply need a bigger helping hand. Surely in a Christian country that is exactly what should be approved of.
It would be nice to think the US was a meritocracy but no fool is going to believe that when one considers the ratios of ethnic groupings and their political and corporate representation.

It is. Luckily for Asians Affirmative Action is more of an anti-white policy than anti-asian. For instance when applying for college admission, their application is likely to be considered along with that of white students. Given that asians as a whole are smarter than whites, this puts them at an advantage.

The reason Affirmative Action exists is because it is founded on the liberal pipe dream that all races are equal, so we must do something to elevate the "underrepresented" ones. Underrepresented means those that cannot compete as effectively.

Hopefully over the coming decades we can dismantle Affirmative Action policies, as they are inherently RACIST towards whites. Anybody who supports affirmative action is a RACIST.

I am Hispanic. I feel Asians are more apt to help themselves, own businesses and better their own community. Unfortunately a large number of Hispanics and African Americans are OK with taking handouts and letting people support them. They feel they are owed something instead of proving themselves. Pride! I do not mean all people are like this just alot.

Dude check this site out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affirmative_Action
You will see that you need to brush up on some reading before you try to seem as if you know what you are talking about. Affirmative action is for ALL minorities and women and Veterans. Do some research first, you might sound intelligent.
