Oh boy. My husband won't stop smoking. I quit over 10 years ago. Our 11 year old son got cancer this Spring. He went through treatment all summer and is now hopefully in remission. He had localized lymphoma. Got hit by a puck in the shin last winter and 3 months later a lump forms and to our shock they said cancer. They actually thought it was the worst type, a bone sarcoma, but thank God it wasn't that. That was the type of cancer Terry Fox had.

Why is he making you wait two months? You should be having an MRI or something else to further tell what it is. The sooner they catch it if it's cancer the better the outcome.

You don't have to wait. You can go elsewhere and get this done.

My son is 11 and developed cancer this Spring. We've be in and out of hospital all summer. The things we've seen this summer I cannot begin to tell you. These children are remarkably brave. The doctors are amazing with the children and make the ordeal of chemo etc. bearable for them. What a great hospital.

If it ends up being cancer, you said it's a small spot, so it should be very easily treatable. They will probably use radiation and maybe follow up with chemo. Whatever has to be done has to be done. You will be ok, but don't wait too long and if you can't get an MRI done make sure your doctor schedules you in asap. Cancer in the lungs can spread quickly and to other parts so you don't want to wait long at all. Will say a prayer for you. I really believe prayer worked miracles on my son. He barely suffered any side effects at all except the hair loss and a few dips in his blood counts which was to be expected.

I asked m y husband approximately this, he's an OB and right this is what he had to declare: what's in all likelihood considerable to be certain, in case you are able to, what the rad dose became into out of your CT test. speaking VERY oftentimes the final rad for a test as you describe could be between a million.5 and 3, even nonetheless this could be counted on the technique and gadget used, fantastically its age. so some distance as capacity injury to a fetus is going, something decrease than 5 rad is seen neglible. the prospect of embryonic or fetal injury is in simple terms critically bigger at approximately 13-15 rad. So VERY oftentimes speaking the prospect of fetal publicity to radiation from a common diagnostic test including yours ensuing in a difficulty that would desire to be right this moment attributed to the CT test itself could be rather low - decrease than a great style of alternative unfavorable aspects of being pregnant. even nonetheless, as initially reported, in case you will get some particular data approximately your technique and ask the OB and radiologist to grant you a threat assessment. The wellness middle would have initially did not hit upon your being pregnant as i anticipate they did a urine attempt? it would desire to have been too early to tell at that ingredient - in early being pregnant the hCG ranges upward push so right this moment some days could make a great distinction.

well if there is a spot on your lung first of all, PLEASE don't wait 2 months to figure out what it is....this is your health we are talking about here after all...a spot on your lung could be many things, including just some fluid build up...what exactly did you go in for the cat-scan for? Knowing other symptoms or what else is going on may help.

If it was me I would go for a second opinion and not wait for two months. If it is something you will know sooner if it isn't you won't be spending two months worrying about it. Good luck and you will be in my prayers.
