I love singing and acting but i dont know how to get discovered
I am a singer/actress how do i get discovered?

Unfortunately its one of those careers that take so long to be recognised.
I have a friend who has a band that's played for 10 years and still waiting on that big break. They really are good. O also have a niece who sings and the voice is beautiful.
Its not what you know its "who". I guess you have to be in at the right place at the right time. Same O Same O.
Gigs at cafes - night clubs - school dances etc.
Normal starting areas. Mind you having a good manager helps.
Also doing your own Tapes and Cd's sending them off to Radio Stations etc. Its hard work, also depends on how dedicated you are, perseverance etc.

Ok...I've let out these pieces of info before, but I'm gonna put them together here for you.
Singer:
1) http://www.acidplanet.com/ go there and register (free).
2) Enter one of their remix contests in the genre you like.
Actress:
1) Try Casting Agencies (extras) first. Many also offer acting classes as well (I'm not implying you need it).
2) Agents are hit or miss. Try to get one that has some success but the more ppl they have the more likely you'll get lost in the crowd. Find a balance.

Exposure is the key. Start with comunity theatres, college campuses etc. Develop a following of fans and gradually expand your boundaries. Do your own PR with local newspapers and media. Promote plays and performances you're involved with, then knock'em dead with you performance. Remember promote the production and let your performance promote you. Good Luck

myspace sweet heart, thats the way to go... that or move to holywood, blow a ton of money, or just stay at home and make a myspace, there are different ones for like musicians, or what ever... good luck! hope you get discovered <3

Do what krazy did, go on the next season of flavor of lvoe is there is one, bring a demo cd win showoff become famous....seriously you should get an agent.

just keep working hard on having constant jobs, its basically a lottery, be in the right place at the right time and have the right person see you and they'll pick you if you got talent
