Go to a dermatologist and find out about laser hair removal. It is permanent and sounds real good.

My advice would be to wax, although it is a little painful. It only lasts a second. Sometimes the hair removal creams, lotions and mousses can irritate the skin. So if you choose these, test on an area of the body less seen. ( Patch test)
If you are only talking about 2 or 3 hairs, just pluck....No risk there. And please NEVER SHAVE IT!!!!! OMG, you'll end up with a beard!!!

It depends on how thick the hair is, what part of the face it is, and how fast it grows.

I get my eyebrows threaded every 3-5 weeks. I used to thread the hair on my chin, but since the beginning of this year it has started getting a bit thicker so I get it waxed (I get it hot waxed at the salon where I get threaded instead of using Nair/Veet strips myself).

If you have hair on your cheeks, I would recommed threading regardless of how thick the hair, as that is a sensitive part of the face and you maybe more prone to a reaction in that area if waxed.

Laser treatment, from what I hear, lasts longest (although contrarary to popular belief, isn't permanant), though if you're dark skinned, there's a slightly higher risk of scarring. I'm considering saving up the dosh for laser treatment here, though

Threading or waxing are the best, never use creams that have harsh chemicals to ruin your skin complexion and shaving really makes the situation worse, with more hair that is coarse, darker in color and may cause razor bumps like in men! Yukh! When waxing try to get a wax with aloe vera in it or hard wax for sensitive skin. Threading, which is done with a piece of thread and two hands can be done with a professional, mostly some one mediterranean. Good luck!

My friend went to the dermatologist. He suggest that she save with a single edge razor--the myth about more coming back, is not true--otherwise all bald guys would shave there head. She does this about once a month and it works well--she doesn't have any facial hair. The cheaper razors work best, so she says!

Electrolysis if you have the money!!! They shock the hair roots and make the hair retard its growth. If you are like most of normal women then either pluck your hair or use wax... Never never ever shave your facial hair!!! Good luck:)
Ps. Some women just bleach their facial hair...

I get mine waxed at the beauty salon or I sometimes wax it myself. This is the best way I have found as the hair grows back lighter, finer and takes longer. It hurts a little, but you get used to it, plus the results are worth it.

The best, by far, is the Laser Hair Removal. I had it done and its amazing! You have it done once a month, for about six months, and you wont even remember you had hair there! I Love it...
Try asking your dermentologist or a plastic surgery office if they offer it.

Nair Moose seems to work well for facial hair.
