We got it in 1987 to give the fans something to wave around and show some excitement during our playoffs and 1st World series win. In Minnesota we don't get too excited. The local newspaper got some cash out of it I'm sure. Does anybody else have a Homer Hanky? it's kind of like the big fingers,etc.

The craze started with the Vancouver Canucks' white twoels during the 1982 NHL Stanley Cup playoff run to the Final. After that you saw a lot of copycats. Of course, the Steelers had their Terrible Towels in the '70s but they were yellow and they really did not start any craze at all. No idea why it took the Canucks to do that.
