my mom is going to one of her good friends 50th birthday parties and i was trying to help her think of a good gift? does anyone have any ideas? ....this is gunna be a suprise party... if that helps

1) Have the women go in together on a pedicure.
2) You don't identify where you live, but if it is a city or nearby such, Tom Jones/Tony Orlando/Neil Diamond tour fairly regularly. Ticketmaster will show you whose on tap for the area. This would be a multiperson gift as well.
3) Go to the nearest Barnes & Noble/mega bookstore and wander through the magazines. There are some neat surprizes in obscure magazine subscriptions.
Oh - you might want to remember these when I turn 60 next year.

Have your mother purchase a journal and ask all her friends to write on a page each, including photos of past memories and set aside the first page, for your mother to write about her friend and the times they have shared together. This will become a keepsake and will be brought out in years to come as a reminder of the past...

There is a website called suprise.com. They have all sorts of catagories to pick from and ideas. It's a great site for any type of gift.

get her adult diapers as a joke then get her a certificate to a spa massage then buy her a tree tell her that her grand son will be reminded of her then buy her a birthday cake with only 5 candles
