Satchel Paige pitched in 1965 with the Kansas City Athletics &
no one really knows his age but he was an old rookie with the
1948 Cleveland Indians. Minnie Minoso also batted one time in
1980 just so he could say he played in 5 decades. Right now
Julio Franco is the oldest and he is in Great shape.

Satchel Page was the oldest. Think Jim Kaat or one of the Niekro's were next in line. Minnie Minoso pinch hit in a game when he was in his 50s. Tho, no one really is sure how old Julio Franco is but Julio, but he holds most of the All-time records for old players.

Satchel Paige... He was a Major League "rookie" at 42. He had a wonderful career in the ***** Leagues and didn't pitch in the American League in 1948. He pitched until 1953 and then came back and pitched for the then Kansas City A's in 1965 at 59 years old.

Satchel Paige was born in 1906 and pitched his last game in 1965. You cant count minnie minosa because that was just a promotional stunt. Paige was really on the team.
