What city will you be in?
Any of the major cities has a huge night life. Bogota has La Zona Rosa with shopping centers all over and cafés all over the place.
Cali has many dance clubs and some very nice malls to shop at. They also have some of the best food in Colombia for the best prices. You should try Lulo, it's a fruit that's only found in Colombia and Ecuador, and it's delicious as juice. Blackberry (mora) is also very common, as is mandarin (mandarina, similar to an orange). Chontaduro is a fruit that comes from a palm and some people love it (I'm one of them!), they go well with salt and some people put honey on them.
Near Bogota is the Salt Cathedral - it's a salt mine with a cathedral carved (dug) into it. It's HUGE and really worth a look if you're near there.
Some other good things to eat are the steak, and you can go almost anywhere and have it be good. Also, empanadas from Cali are some of the best!
You can also go to the Zoo which will have many animals that you may never see in most zoos in the US.

Go to the parks and museums and fine restaurants. They party hard there. They are a land of beautiful people.

Visit the city of Cartagena and go Emerald shopping...It is so beautiful there. There are clubs, beaches, good food, it's magnificent.
