A really dark fake tan (like mystic spray tans, over the counter lotion tanners) should fade within 5-10 days. A tanning bed tan runs into deeper layers of the skin...and takes 30-60 days to fade on its own. I'm guessing that it's a bottle/spray type tan...so, even though you may have to wait out the final fade... here are some tips to use in the meantime- you can try Loading your skin with fragrance free baby oil, sesame body oil, or some other type of fragrance free oil and apply all over. Allow this to stay on the skin for 30-60 minutes (watch where you sit and what you touch...you don't want to oil stain any of your clothing, furniture or bedding). Follow that with a long soak in a bath, adding one cup of baking soda. Use a wash cloth to gently work on the skin. You can even apply the baking soda directly to the wash cloth and gently rub in small circles. You can also pick up exfoliating bar soap, which has little grains within it to help with the exfoliating process. Fake tans are only as deep as the first layer of skin, and it is believed that the warm soak can help open up the pores and 'release' some of the stain from fake tans. Avoid heavy scrubbing.
Day two, you can try using cotton balls, dampened with Isopropyl alchohol (avoid any sensitive areas, including around the eyes, nose and mouth- make sure that you don't apply it to any open skin and STOP applying if you feel any stinging sensations). Follow this with a rinse in the shower and repeat with the baby oil plan for 15-30 minutes, followed by another bath soak. This time, try using a fragrance free exfoliating bath salt or bath gel exfoloating scrub and a wash cloth. You may also want to try to use a scrubbie bath sponge or exfoliating mit - just make sure to be as gentle as possible. You don't want to irritate the skin or make it raw at all. For removing the fake tan from the face- I would suggest using a buff-puff or exfoliating facial square scrubs and gently wash the skin as often as possible.
Unfortunately, most of the really dark fake tans will have to fade over time.
I hope this info helps!
:)

I only used a fake lotion once and it took one of those scruib brushes and a hot bath to finally do the job. Took about 5 baths too! Unless u mean from the tanning beds. That will go away in time. I use to do it alllll the time and it goers away slowly on its own just like any other tan but if its the fake tan used with just the lotion get out the scrub brush-grit your teeth and scrub away!
