Somewhere you made a typo, your problem says 4x^2 but your work says 5x^2.

The answer is 11x^2 - 12x - 2

i got 11x^2 -12x-2 because there is no 5 in the problem other wards i think you got everything right
7x^2+ 8x^2= 11x^2
-4x+ (-8X) = 12x
and then of course the -2
which results in 11x^2 -12x- 2
it doesnt matter what order its in

It is 7 + 4 not 7 + 5.
There's no 5 in the original formula
