If the 2006 World Series is a Wild Card World Series, it will be between the AL Champions Detroit Tigers and the NL Champions Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Last Wild Card World Series was in 2002 between the AL Champions Anaheim Angels and the NL Champions San Franciso Giants and the Angels won the World Series.

Anything is possible. But do you REALLY think the Tigers and the Dodgers are going to make it that far??

I still can't believe the tigers are the wild card...Man they played bad the last couple of months will be tough against that all star team.. The dodgers have a better chance they have been streaky though....As for John S the twins no way baby Santana won't get another chance to pitch in the series it's not going 5 or I will say better not

Sorry, ain't happening. Tigers will be out by Saturday at the latest (they may get one game in Detroit, but they're not going to beat the Yankees if the Bombers are building snowmen).

No way. The Tiger's are the major underdogs in the American League. I can see the Dodgers making it, but the Tigers will never make it past the Yankees and the A's.

Its hard to see the tigers making it with their current form, and their competition.

Dodgers is a possibility, Penny, Lowe and Maddox is a decent rotation, they can score some runs.

The Cardinals could struggle, Mets are in trouble, Padres and Dodgers could be your NLCS.

It could happen.

When Jim Leyland won the 1997 World Series with Florida, his team was the wild card that year.

I think the Yanks will make short work of Detroit. I think LA will make short work of everyone they face, so I can possibly see the Dodgers winning it all, but if they do, they'll have to go through my Yanks... not Detroit.

I doubt the Tigers will beat the Yankees. If they do, I doubt they'll beat the Twins. Sorry A's
