Your dog is far more important than your partner. Your dog has better hearing and smell so he can alert you of danger better. Your dog has soft fluffy fur and will never complain when you use him as a footwarmer on a cold night. Your dog wont complain about leftovers again. Your dog wont steal the covers. Your dog wont leave the toilet seat up... wait scratch that one...

I never kept my dogs in a cage.
But right now I am keeping one of my cats in the barn with food, water, catbox, nice soft bed. Barn is not open to elements. She is shedding something terrible and I am waiting for the medication to take effect.

Your partner of course. Your dog never cheats on you, mistreats you or neglects you. If only we could say the same about our partners.

Your partner, duh! The only problem is finding a cage big enough, but then again you could always squeeze em into it.
