I'm about 7 weeks pregnant. Doc says everything looks good so far. My husband loves riding motorcycles and I really enjoy riding with him. It's kind of like our quality time together. Is there any reasons I shouldn't ride?

OK, everyone knows a bike is dangerous. So is a car. What I am asking is, if we just ride, no crash involved, is it bad for pregnancy?

Of course there are accident risks, as with anything, so aside from that, no there is no reason not to continue to ride with him. I go with my boyfriend, but not once I start to show, u get too many looks! Have fun, but be safe!

Well I dont think the actual act of riding the bike will do any harm, but like everyone else has said, it is probably not a good idea. I used to love riding on the back of a motorcycle with my husband too, but at a certian point (before we decided to have kids) I decided that this was not the safest form of transportation. A guy I used to work with had a terrible accident and took a year to "recover" but was never the same person both physically and mentally, and ended up loosing his fiance and daughter due to his new condition. I convinced hubby to get rid of the bike and to my amazement he agreed and did. So those are my reasons you should not ride.

Go ahead, but i don't see the baby in the future. Now if you want to be the good kind of mother, you'll lay off it for awhile if your serious about this. It can and can't cause problems. Its a 50% chance, but i wouldn't take that chance... if you want it to be normal and all. Im very happy for you =) And it is for the babys saftey. What if you had a wreck and hurt all of you? It can be so bouncy and damages the baby. Dont do it! I know it stinks, kinda like never eating chocolate for a loooong time, but its for the baby.. and you want it to be good right? Is yes- dont ride. If no- do ride. Be smart,, what do you REALLY think? Is it smart? If its a big thing, this things even bigger. Ask your husband.. and f you still ride it,, then your not very good at making decisions. Im kinda being harsh, but im just givin it to you strsight. Good luck!
You can have a mototcycle party once the baby is borns and everything is good anc cool. It sucks, but it will be worth the wait. Good luck!
Ok, yah you can get in a car wreck in both, but a car is more safer, and you cant play it but "well... what if.. or what if i did this.." NO!!! Dont do it! Dont be a dumd blonde. Its always a saftey hazard, but its even a bigger one now. Good luck, and i hope your safe. Make the correct choices.

Sure ride the bike. Your not that far along and I don't foresee any danger to the baby unless you do get in an accident. A bike is like any other type of vechile and all have risks. Just because you want to ride does NOT make you a bad mother in any way. Just becareful. When you get further along asking the doctor would prolly be a good idea..... but your safe now..
Have Fun!

Ask yourself this question, "Which do I want more, a motorcycle ride or a baby?"
I have 2 children, my youngest is 25. When I was due my husband ask me if I wanted to go out for an ice cream cone. During the ride (IN A CAR) he managed to hit every pot hole. I was in the delivery room that evening.

Ride, but be careful. According to the National Transportation Safety Administration. 92% of all Motorcycle Accidents are caused by rider error and of this 92%, 60% is from riding off the roadway.
My Mom rode until her belly was too big to fit behind my Dad...then my Dad had a sidecar installed.
It is a family joke that I was conceived in a sidecar.

i usually do not like the idea of riding any motorcycles but that's me. i think maybe just for you and your baby's sake you should avoid riding at least till after birthing. try to find some other way to spend time together.

If you have an accident (whether it be due to weather or a stupid driver) is riding a motorcycle worth hurting your baby or losing it? Motorcycles can be very dangerous since other vehicles hardly ever pay attention to them.

Having physician parents that see this stuff all day long, they call folks that ride motorcycles "POD's". (Potential Organ Donors).. They're just way too dangerous with so many cars on the road, and the way some maniacs drive.

I guess it would depend on the road and how smooth the ride was. I still wouldn't ride all the time though.
