I think the nations of the world are afraid of a nuclear war. It's different now than it was in 1945. Most of the major countries of the world have access to atomic weapons, and an attack would cause a chain reaction that would cause massive death and destruction for everyone involved.

It is generally a bad idea.

Because maybe everyone is just a little bit smarter. After seeing the devastation nukes did to Japan, and the fact that today's weapons are far superior to those used back then, I think most of the world's leaders are hesitant to cause that much damage. Plus, if one country fires one off, you can bet the rest will follow, and we'll all be blown to smithereens.

first off, atom bombs are now obsolete because of the discovery of hydrogen bombs. these are even more powerful and destructive than atom bombs.

second most countries have allied them selves with countries that have nukes, and if one country attacks another, allied countries with nukes bomb the country who sends the bomb. then allies of the initial bomber bomb the allies of the second bombers, and nuclear war starts.

we have enough nukes to destroy the human population many times over.

it's basically guys with grenades that are fifty feet apart that are stuck to the ground. if one person throws his grenade, the person he threw it at throws his grenades at the first person's friends

b/c you can't pin point our enemies (terrorists) in one location, they are scattered all over the world. So no use of blowing up one place to get a few terrorists and kill many innocent lives.
