are we Americans tolerant of other people's opinions, religions and political beliefs? How do you see it? Thanks to all who answer. Feel free to go on and on if you choose. No answer too long or too short.

No I don't believe we tolerant. I think many of us try to be and that does include me. But yet we make generalizing statements about different religions and political beliefs, like the Democrats and Republicans - they only time they agreed or had any respect for one another was during 9/11 and that was a temporary. There are differing opinions/views of mothers who stay home and those who go to work.

This is a great question but I'm not sure how to answer it . I can
only be sure about myself , and I 've always said, live and let live . How could anyone think they are the only ones who are right about anything .That is just plain arrogance and stupidity . I know a lot of people who do feel that they are the only ones with the correct opinions beliefs and religion , and even there I will not argue with them because they also have the right to think whatever they want . I believe there is not one soul on this earth who is any better than anyone else !
