Being a Wiccan myself I'm not familiar with the Bible. I do know I was always told by others that it's not anyone's place to judge yet being such Christians (no offense to any Christians) the blessed souls whom stood trial and died for being judged were not only judged yet, murdered for wrong doing. Whom exactley decided what was right and what was wrong in that day and age. All victims murdered were women except for one man whom was crushed to death with a rock and one small child whoms mother was murdered here she was finally spared but not soon enough before the damage was already set forth.
If only closed minds had included closed mouths in that era perhaps it wouldn't have taken this long for the blessed to be pardoned.

What about How the Salem Witch trials impacted the people that were accused. Or, you could also talk about the mindset behind the people who accused and tried them as witches. Just a couple of possibilities.

there are two basic facts that I know about the salem witch trials. One is that the so-called spells were really caused by some kind of biligical infestation in the rye crops (from which they made their bread)

the other is the fact that most of the time it was females who were accused. this was a very good way of maintaining male dominance, don't you think?

Hi there.
If you are familiar with the book, The Scarlet Letter, you could attempt to delineate the two.
It does cover puritanical society of the time.
It also illustrates the public perceptions of the accused being the good and the apparently good being the evil.
Very interesting connect.
Everyone should read the scarlet letter once.
Excellent book.
Good luck to you.

Oobily...yes, that is an interesting theory.

It was actually their bread....some believe that mold on their rye bread caused an LSD type reaction....basically causing them to freak out, possibly have hallucinations....and other types of strange symptoms.

Hmm, you could propose that the girls who accused their neighbors of being witches were really just bored and wanted to liven things up for their own amusement.

You could write how people misuse Bible to accuse, charge and execute innocent people who don't follow by the rules
