God created gender.. God is neither a male or a female. God is symply referred to as God. Human brains aren't complete so we can't say that God has a gender!

I think it's an insult to refered to God as a he or a she. Even if a man is more dominant God is 900000000 * more powerful than a man. God is jsut a higher power , it's a disrespect to refer to God as "him" cause that would make it look like God is a human.

The Bible wasn't written in English... so using the English word for "Him" is just plain stupid.

The old farts that translated the Bible probably made it to a man because they didn't want women to think that they had any power. I mean do they now? They are smarter than men and make lower wages...

Anywho... If God exists I don't think that he/she has a gender... I mean if he/she has a gender and he/she is a man then DOES HE HAVE A PENIS? Does he pee? Etc.

I'm not trying to be funny I'm just showing how ridiculous it is to assign a gender to a "SUPREME BEING"

"Let's make man in our own image". The discussion must have been between some Beings. With who we don't know. Why bother? For all these wisdom are all vanity upon vanity. That He has the powers matters, that he has a gender doesn't matter. I love my mum, daughter and so what? For God's sake just believe in the Super Being.

I believe that God is a human created invention but that the energies behind our thoughts of God have always been there. It is not a he or a she...and to those who think it matters that's just sad...If you believe your God was a Male and then found out God was a female would it really change your feelings about your religion?

God created Man in His own Image, then deciding it was not good for man to be alone He created Woman from a part of man.-The Book of Genesis.

My brain is completely complete, thank you.
Except for the things I'll be learning for the rest of my life.
Humans assign genders to their gods because they create them in their own image. There have been gods that were men, women, dogs, cats, the sun, the moon, bulls, cows -- you name it, at some point somebody has had a god in its image. All equally valid and invalid, since they're all made up :)

It's easier to relate the unknow to something we do know: humans. Humans are male and female so why not pick one.

Obviously God is more powerful than a male or a female.

commonly we refer to God as He, because of society AND the bible. MAN per se, is the dominant gender of the species, hence, GOD is of a male nature. go figure. it just makes more sense.

Probably (for some) because the Bible makes reference to God as masculine...but that's just a guess.

because jesus was a man and is 1 part of the holy trinity hence god was at one time for a brief time a human male.....of course that is only if you believe in the christian interpretation
