WTF are those people talking about? The Solstice is slow? In the segment it's in, it is just as fast as any car out there. The GXP version is as fast as some cars way out of it's segment.

Styling is a personal choice. Personally, I've seen the Skye and Solstice sitting side by side, and I prefer the Solstice.

Practicality? There is none! Plus the waiting list is a year long at this point, and it isn't helping that they are taking Skye sales out of Solstice production. Pontiac dealers (me included) are hammering at our sales reps trying to get GM to build more, so far we've had no luck.

I'm willing to take deposits and place orders for whomever wants to get on the list. I'm sure your local dealer is willing as well. Be prepared to pay more than MSRP, BTW (not at my dealership, but I've heard prices at $5k over sticker).

Good luck!

You do not buy a convertable car without much of a trunk for practicality. You buy because your are balding over fourty five and are upset with your wife. Because she won't let you have a Harley! And you think the chicks will like it, sure they will if you give it to them. Back orders list is a mile long. Saturn version looks better. And the new turbocharged soltice or redline is hot enough to out run a Miata.

It's a pretty good car from Pontiac...I like the styling and shapes that were used, but it hsa some small problems, like it's a bit underpowered...All though it's sufficient for urban driving, it's a bit overpriced and it has a Colorado gearbox. I'd go for the Saturn Sky instead. It's pretty much the same car, just a bit more pleasing visually. Also, you obiously won't get much(any?) rear seat space and little trunk room.

it's a real slow 2.4 L ecotec inline 4, well the 2.0 L is turbocharged and said to push 260hp but i say slow. it's a pontiac and the new gto they quit making within a year so i think this one will be gone too. i'm not saying it looks bad, it's just not worth the price. small, no back seat, trunk spacing is horrible and again i say...slow.
