From a voltage spike, a quick trip to the dealer to enter the cluster into diagnostic mode will reset the needle. It does not need replacement, I'm glad some answerers don't actually work for Dodge or they would be charged back constantly by the manufacturer for needless replacements. A surge in voltage causes the needle to fall to the high side of the gauge and gravity took over. A needle sweep will bring it back to original position. I work at a Ford/Chrysler dealership.

i does no longer do any of the above. Chrysler products are frankly junk. The Caravan will fall down round you and furnish you with extremely some complications. The Nissan Quest has also had extremely some reliability subject matters. Kia Sedona's are distinctly tremendous, yet again, the commonplace isn't there. all of your selections will also depreciate distinctly right now. even together with your fairly important downpayment, starting to be the different way up on the non-public loan in many years will happen. With one baby, why the choose for the football mom van? you've a superbly good automobile it really is pretty a lot paid off. funds is tight, so why throw it away on a automobile you do not choose. human beings did take care of to live to inform the tale devoid of Minivans previous to 1984. enable him stress that Neon til it blows up (which will be quickly), and then get him a good commuter automobile. promote the 1993 Pathfinder and keep your Pathfinder and pay it off and stress it til the wheels fall off. You made a sensible selection figuring out to purchase the Pathfinder, at the same time as no longer the roomiest or thriftiest automobile, it holds it fee and has been sturdy. do no longer purchase some funds pit minivan you do not choose. in case you nonetheless have your heart set on a minivan, get a Toyota or Honda.

electronic spedo's some time run all the way around. Either flip the needle over the pin or buy a new (Speedometer) instrument. Or try to disconnect the battery and reconnect the battery.

usually a voltage spike will cause the needle to jump around and over to back side of 0mph, like a jump start, battery disconnected and negative cable hooked up first instead of last.
you can sometimes remove instrument panel cluster (gages
cluster) and turn it upside down to turn needle around.
hope that helps. I am a service advisor for a Chevy-Pont-Chrys-Dodge dealer.

I hope this was caused by an electrical problem. Caravans can't go fast enough to bury the needle.
