Are you supposed to break out so much during pregnancy? Its so bad im shocked. Its on my shoulders, my breasts and all over my face. Why does this happen while your pregnant? And also will a dermatologist be able to do anything about it? Thanks for the answers.

I was having that problem and asked a question like that and a girl named Lindsay Wiliams answered and told me about thebodyshopathome.com....she is the consultant there...I had NEVER had problems with pimples before I got prego....and now its HORRIBLE....I ordered the whole tea tree line (its good to use especialy if your prego.) when you go to that site go to skin care...then go to tea tree oils.....get a wash(teatree wash), a toner (tea tree freshner) and a moisturizer (teatree moisturizer), use them one after another and OMG...no shyt...I ordered it and got it in yesterday...and my face fills better, looks better and the pimples are slowly but surely going away....YIPPPEEEE lol...she also has a tea tree body wash (for any other acne infected area other than the face) but I love this stuff...and trust me I know how you feel when it comes to acne related issues.....it sucks. grr...dang acne....but seriously try the tea tree..works wonders..(im 16 weeks pregnant and I have been dealing with this problem for about 10 weeks..but not anymore lol) Good luck

Yes this is called the 'mask' of pregnancy. See a skin dr but don't feel bad about it it's very common. Hormones cause most symptoms and ailments of pregnancy. Have you been tensed a lot lately now that your pregnant? Stress can also cause hives and weird rashes to pop up so maybe try some relaxation therapy but AVOID hot baths as that can be harmful while pregnant. Good luck and God Bless!

It is very common to get bad acne while pregnant. I had friends that had huge cystic acne on their face chest and back while pregnant. It is hormonal and don't really think anything topical will really help and don't think they would give a pregnant woman any pills. I was worried this would happen to me too since I get some acne when I have my period, but to my delight I actually never had better skin then while pregnant. It will go away when it is all over with. I would not waste any money on a a dermatologist till you talk to your OB and see if it is worth your time.

Your hormones are all over the place when you are pregnant. The dermatologist will probably be able to give you a cream to help control it. Also, make sure that your skin isn't just dry because sometimes that can make it break out.
