Have lots of people been out to sites for fossils where ever they live? Where? How about in New Jersey?

It is not possible to give you a number as the answer to that question because there are no records of how many people in the past collected fossils, nor is there any record of how many people now alive have collected fossils.

Therefore, this has be RULED TO BE A STUPID QUESTION!!

Along the shores of Lake Champlain in Vermont and New York.

Along the cliff faces along on major Interstate Highways

Deep inside The Grand Canyon

At major rock outcroppings along the Apalacian Trail

Wherever a sheer rock cliff is accessible

We used to go to a place called Sharkstooth Hill, near Bakersfield, CA. We could dig fossilized shark's teeth out of the hillside.

I have collected fossils and have some dinosaur bones too.. I collected these in Alberta Canada

I haven't been to NJ, but the best places have been natural limestone formations here in the Midwest, creek beds, even shorelines in and around the Great Lakes. I have arrowheads, plant imprints. etc.
