It's c - - oxygen.

Aerobic bacteria is contrasted with anerobic bacteria, and that kind doesn't need oxygen to exist.

Aerobic bacteria needs oxygen unlike the anaerobic which can survive with out oxygen. That's why it's a good idea to leave an infected wound open so the anaerobic bacteria won't thrive.
