fire agate stone is way different from this giraffe colored stone
fire agate is very expensive while this other stone is very inexpensive
both are used to make jewelry

There are a couple of spotted agates but also some forms of Jasper that are rather giraffe-coloured, such as Leopard-Skin and Turitella (sp?).

I know the one you're talking about but unfortunately can't think of the name off the top of my head. I've seen them a lot in new age or natural therapies shops. If I were you, that would be my starting point.
