n=8 2+2n=3(4+2)
2n+2 3 (6)
2n + 2= 18
-2 -2

so first take the right side of the equation
3(4+2) = 3(6) = 18

Now
2+2n=18. Subtract 2 from both sides
2n = 19-2=16

2n=17. Divide by 2

n=16/2 = 8
