That other people will not always be there for you. People come and go and you could rely on them here and there, but you can not always be so dependent. You will find true happiness in being able to stand up for yourself, having confidence, and rely on yourself that you can do it, even if you are doing it alone... Hope that helps in some way.

It means that people will not always be there when they say they will, the only true person you can rely on is yourself because you know you will always be there when the time comes...when you can rely on yourself, you can deal with the rejection of others, because you know that you can be there and have the strength to pick yourself back up. Always relying on others will lead to a life of unhappiness in always being let down in some way or another, and not every really knowing what to do with or for yourself.

That to achieve contentment & true happiness is to attain it first by & for yourself. That happiness is not to be attained superficially by depending on others to hand it down to you.

The best feeling is knowing you can take care of yourself. ( the opposite of having mommy & daddy or someone else doing it and you being a parasite . . . NOT cool after you turn 18 )
