You say to him "If you want to treat your grandmother like a bank, then either pay her back in full or go to jail."

OR

Let him know you can help him with his problems and all he has to do is ask. Remember, if he has to steal money, it means he's in trouble, and is too scared to tell his family the truth about what he's going through. What he really needs is somebody he can trust and talk to in confidentiality (maybe he can't speak to his parents for one reason or another). So when you approach him, don't be quick to reprimand, try walking in his shoes - find out what he's going through before you throw him in jail.

Tell Grandmother, and tell the boy's parents, if they are an option. I personally would confront my nephew and threaten him with grievous bodily harm and/or criminal charges if he didn't return the money or make arrangements to repay it.

I'd keep my nose out of it.... may not have heard the story right to begin with.
So many liars in my family, I would need to have on camera verification.

Tell his parents that they'd better do something otherwise they make it your responsibility to report the theft to the authorities. This act should not be condoned.

steal it from him and give it back to his grandma, when you give it back to her, tell her what happened. then tell his parents what he did(assuming he's a kid), if it were me that's what I'd do, it's right in the bible"an eye for an eye". hope that helped you young lady, good luck.

I would let him know that you know and give him the opportunity to come clean. Let him know that if he doesn't tell your grandmother, that you will.
