When I was 8 yrs. old I spent the night at my Aunt Betty's house
& it just so happened that we watched the movie called THE BIRDS by Alfred Hitchcock . I truly do not believe I ever did go to sleep that night ! It was the 1st time I ever saw a scary movie and the 1st time I stayed at her house . It is one of those experiences you never forget !

I quit being scared of the dark about age 13...After all,if you're gonna like Frankenstein,Dracula,Mummies,Zombies,Werewolves, etc, you have to get over it!...Now one time, when I was 12,I was outside way after dark--like midnight--and I KNOW I saw a man creeping around our backyard like a mummy!--I ran 100 MILES AN HOUR into our house and SCREAMED to my big sister,"THERE'S A MAN IN OUR BACKYARD!!!"...She told me to be quiet--and go to bed........END OF STORY.

After spending a full week without power surrounded by flood water, the dark holds no secrets, no fear for me.
