He wants to listen to her cd's ALL DAY. He wants to "marry her"!!!!

That's normal for an 8 year old to be highly interested in something, whether it be a singer, a television show, a favorite stuffed animal, et cetera. You need to teach him the difference between fantasy and reality, and why he can never marry Britney Spears. I think only shortening his listening to her music will only make him want to listen to it even more. Try introducing him to other kinds of interests in music or activities. Like all phases, they wear out with time (and a whole lot of patience!), and pretty soon, he won't even remember Britney Spears. Good luck!

Have a dance party! Enjoy this time. Maybe make it into a game, like how much to do love Britney, and show with your arms. Now, how much do you love Pizza, and again, show how much by outreached arms. Maybe, you'll find that he loves pizza more than Britney, and maybe he'll want to marry a pizza!

I think all little kids are like that. He should grow out of it soon enough.
(Once he's over Britney Spears, he'll probably be into Shakira or Paris Hilton or someone like that. I don't think it ever stops!)

Relize that hes 8. Its a faze, by the time hes 18 she'll be fat and ugly and he will have moved on. Its not a big deal. My son want to marry the girl off of Harry Potter hes 9. Chill!!!!!!!!

Hes a 8 YEAR OLD...... he will get over it trust me... and if not find a really BAD thing on her and give it to him(trust me there are plenty)

don't worry.. its probably the irritating high notes and repetitive melodies that kids love.. sorta like Barney for older kids.. he'll yuck it in no time..

It's a faze and he'll get out of it - don't worry. There are a lot more fun situations to look forward to as he gets older.....I know! Please, don't worry about it.
