I personaly believe if you vote for either one, you are just basicly choosing the lesser of 2 evils. I think they are both of thier rocker. Believing that basicaly there is not a party that has anything close to being right, who should I vote for and why? Sorry I can not give specific views into what I believe, but if I did all I would get are haters wanting to tear me a new one like I care about their opinion and never giving me an actual insightful answer. Just curious everyone.

Voting for the left, or for the right, is like steering a car. You don't really want to end up in either ditch (left side or right), but you want to keep traveling somewhere safe. America votes to correct things when we're travelling in the wrong direction. That's why it is important to view the voting as a nation more than squabbling about your own views. We don't ever strive to go all the way in one direction... we just use public opinion to direct the path of American progress.

For example, imagine there were 1000 voters in the country, and the issue of online gambling came up as the sole issue. Let's say 750 votes For it, and 250 Against. Okay, that's the initial direction of opinion. After 4 years of legal gambling, these same voters have heard startling statistics that indicate that gambing is terrible (something that would never have been discovered if gambling had never been allowed in the first place). So this time, the voters correct the problem by voting 800 Against online gambling, and 200 For.

This is an over-simplification, but it does work this way. This is how we've ended up where we are on many issues such as abortion, welfare, taxes, etc. As long as the left thinks things are too conservative, and the right thinks things are too liberal, then we're heading in the right direction. If one side wins too many elections, and the results are negative, then Americans will correct it (in time).

So vote for what you feel (don't worry about what your neighbor feels... he has his own vote) and things will work out in the long run. Just keep in mind, changes in politics lag way behind public sentiment, so be patient.

Condi's hair looks awesome and the Republican Party's new slogan announced today may have some traction but the news tomorrow will be the judge. "It's not just for non-perv's anymore". Kind of borrows on a slogan of Foley's mom, Anita Bryant, but with a present day oomph added.

I vote Republican and I will only vote Democrat if the candidate comes from the same city I live in, even if I do not agree with their viewpoints.

Democrat. Thanks to third party voters we got Bush as President. Right now your only choice for change is to vote democrat. There is a BIG difference between the democrats and Bush Republicans. Right now we have one party rule with no congressional oversight on the executive. This can only be rectified by electing Democrats to Congress.

Well, it is the lesser of two evils, because youll never find a president who does everything right. I base my vote on a specific topic. Whoever is closest to it,get my vote!

I don't vote based on party affiliation. I vote on the person's record and their views.
