how come some of my dvds play on my ps2 and some dont??

it depends on how old or new the cd is

Theres a couple of reasons

1) playstation 2 sucks for playing dvds

2) the dvd may be scratched

3) the laser in the ps2 mite be dirty

4) The playstation sucks at playing DVDs get a real dvd player!

Well... Is the dvds your trying to play burned?
Because I have a ps2 to and it wont play play burned dvds or cds, and it also won't play dvds from other countrys.
