My guinea pig is about five or six years old, and I noticed today she's acting funny. I found her in her own feces, as if she hadn't moved in hours. When she does move, she kind of whobbles and limps. Her hip looks like it's out of place, and her leg is swollen, but there's no sores or wounds that I can see. I tried to give her some vegetables, but she didn't seem to want to eat them. When I touch her bottom area at all she squeaks like she's in pain. what should I do? I don't think I can take her to the vet, because I don't have money for it.

All of the guinea pigs I have had have displayed this kind of listless behaviour as they got older, so yes it is a possibility. However, if you are touching her and she is squealing in pain, chances are there is something, well, painful about her back end that needs medical attention. If it's something that cannot be fixed, at least she can be humanely euthanized.

At least call a vet, and tell them your guinea pig is in pain but you can't afford to fix it, and often they will work something out with you, as they don't want your guinea pig to suffer either. Good luck!

She needs to see a vet ASAP. Borrow the money if you have to. She is in a lot of pain with that swollen leg which is one of the reasons why she is not eating. If you cannot afford to pay for her ask your vet if you can be billed or surrender her to them but for her sake she needs to be seen.

That is sad. I hope that she is ok. You could still ring the vet and ask their opinion, and tell them that you can't afford very much toay them. It probably wouldn't cost very much for them to consult a guinea pig so they might even do it for free. Good luck and I hope guniea pig gets better soon

sorry but you have to take her to the vet or maybe she will die. Here is a plan ask your friend if they can lend you some money to pay for the vet bill
