You can promise yourself a reward if you write one page right now!
You could tell yourself that you are just going to write a paragraph and then starting won't be so intimidating (once you start, don't stop).
You could write down key thoughts for it (just make kind of a list). Arrange those is some sort of order. Then just start writing some sentences to go with each key thought. It will be written before you know it.

The best answer is to stop procrastinating and just do the work. I have a lot of 1:100 models and draftings but complaining never did anything right. Just do it. Face down to the essay and do it.

Tactics to cure the procrastination:
1. time management
2. do things in chunks or bits over time line.

Here are some suggestions from a fellow procrastinator:

Pretend it's due tomorrow! :-)

Don't allow yourself to do some other thing that you enjoy until you write 1 page of it (watch your favorite TV program, for instance).

Conversely, promise yourself a small reward for completing it (preferably something to pamper yourself a little).

Remind yourself what it felt like last time you procrastinated and how you don't want to feel that way again this time!

Go somewhere quiet by yourself. Turn off your cell phone and let your calls go to voicemail. The main idea with this one is, get rid of distractions. I used to like sitting outside on a park bench when I was writing my papers (during nice weather, of course!).

Sadly, I'm also procrastinating on a huge essay...

However, here are some tips from my friends who don't procrastinate

1. Mark your calender!
2. Get someone to remind you, parents are great for this
3. Think about the consequences of procrastination... lack of sleep... bad grades... etc.
4. After you read the answer... GET GOING on it!

my name is hannah, im 12 and i am THE WORST procrastinator in the world!
last year my teacher gave me an essay plus timeline, drawings and cover decoration (it had to be a book). We had 3 weeks to work on it and i started 3 days before it was due.i ended up getting an 83.

my teacher gave me tips how to stop procrastinating.
here they are:
1.pretend like the teacher is an alien and doesnt know anything about what you are writing about. you have explain it to him so that he will get it.
2.put all of your focus on it and think like you are in the event taking place.
3.pretend that your best friend is moving away and the only way to get them to stay where they live is to convince them how great this thing youre writing about is.

"THE ART OF WRITING IS THE ART OF APPLYING THE SEAT OF YOUR PANTS TO THE SEAT OF YOUR CHAIR, KEEPING YOUR PEN ON THE PAPER & NOT GETTING UP TILL YOU ARE FINISHED" ---- LISTEN, JUST START WRITING!! WRITE ANYTHING,EVEN IF IT'S BAD. YOU WILL SOON START TO WRITE SOMETHING DECENT & YOU CAN EDIT IT LATER. OF COURSE YOU CAN JOT DOWN NOTES,IDEAS, ETC. FIRST BUT GET STARTED!!!!
