I think the Marlins made a serious mistake when firing Girardi. There aren't many managers out there who could do what he did with a $15 million dollar payroll. He was running lineups out there with 5 or 6 rookies and they were in the hunt for the wildcard. I think this is just another ploy on the part of the Marlins owner to move that team. Next year they will regress in the standings and they already can't draw fans.

That is a huge mistake. Girardi was fired becasue he kept reffering to the Yankee way of doing things. Also he made the team .500 at around the end of teh season.

I think Girardi did a wonderful job, and i would have kept him, but they are right in saying you need someone right for the organisation, and that organisation and Girardi did not work.

It is because the organisation is controlling.

I THINK THE MARLINS ARE CRAZY@ girardi has alot of passion, and really turned that team around..its a shame!

leadership is always a big issue when a team does badly....you cant blame management for trying to put together a winning chemistry
