try using Acetone, it will take off the residue and not leave an oily surface, then just clean with windex

A razor blade is a lot quicker than any of the other options listed. I recently had to remove Pine Tar from my car windows and first I tried a tar remover/goo be gone thing and that was a ton of work and didn't do the trick. The razor blade took it right off, was much quicker and much less expensive. Just make sure to get the inexpensive flat holder and replacement blades. Lowe's or Home Depot should have it in the Paint section for just a few dollars. Good Luck!

I am not positive but I bought something called "Goo Gone" from a Home Hardware out of town and I am sure you could get it at Wal-Mart. It was $3.99. The Home Hardware code on the bottle is 4520-744 The bottle says it removes grease, gum, stickers, crayons and tape. I used it for taking the tape off of dringing glasses from the dollar store. I hope you can find it.

Go to Wal-Mart or K-Mart and pick up yourself a bottle of Goo Gone. It works wonders on glass that has had tape on them or stickers and dirt. It even takes off gum that was stuck on wood too! Goo Gone is a wonderful invention and can be used for a variety of surfaces too!

Good luck! I hope I was some what helpful.

Get a scraper, spray an area with ammonia or windex, scrape while wet and keep an old rag to wipe off the excess from the scraper. Last, just clean the window.

baby oil will take it off. rub it on and let it soak in for a bit before wiping with another oil saturated paper towel.

scrape the remaining residue off with a widget (razor blade)

and then clean your window as usual.

use a razor blade or a NEW drywall taping knife it won't scratch the window. I use them all the time.
