5+6-(-3)-8+4-3
Remember: Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally, which also stands for Parentheses, Exponents, Multiply, Divide, Add, Subtract.
This is the order of operations that you need to follow to crunch numbers in a math problem.
Since you have parentheses, start there! The -(-3) becomes a +3 (negative times negative equals positive).
Then you have 5+6+3-8+4-3, which is simpler than before.
Now remeber that you go from left to right after you get rid of the parentheses. 5+6 = 11, 11+3 = 14, 14-8 = 6, 6+4 = 10 and finally 10-3 = 7.

5 + 6 + 3 - 8 + 4 - 3 = 18 - 11 = 7

answer 7. think like this.

5+6=11-(-3) ( two minuses equals a plus so rearrange) to 11+3=14 ( now continue with rest).. 14-8=6; 6+4=10 and finally 10-3=7.

I walked you through the calculation above. just simply rearrange the question knowing two minuses gives a plus.

so
5+6+3-8+4-3= 7

Folks -- she asked HOW to solve it. She didn't ask for the solution!!!

Remember - use correct order of operations, from left to right.
Parentheses
Exponents
Multiplication/Division
Addition/Subraction

So the first thing you have to do is change the negative -3 into +3. Now, starting at the left, do the math! It's easy! You can do it!

PLEASE NOTE -- it's not addition then subtration it's EITHER add/sub from left to right. So there is a solution above that is explained fairly well, but still not done correctly.

first you have to multiply 6-(-3) first. That gives you 18. Then you add 5 and 18. That's give you 23. Then you do 23 subtract 8. That's give you 15. Then you add 4 to the 15, that give you 19. Then you subtract the 3 from 19. The final answer is 16.
