it just depend es on what you are going to do if you are going to race it AMC you wont the trx450 or the 350. But if you are going to trail ride get the 660 raptor but the 660 and the 700 raptor are front end light so i would get the 450 its a good all around machine.

Depends completely on what type of riding you will be doing.
First, be honest with yourself and figure out what you'll use it for.
If you're not racing, then don't buy the new TRX450R - they're defintely an awesome machine - but you'll need to keep up on the maintenance schedule and replace rings/valves/etc relatively frequently (should be every 80 hrs or so at least). If you are racing, it's the only option - and you'll have to factor in replacement parts cost as just part of the cost of having fun.
If you only ride the dunes, then the Banshee is the hands-down winner. Buy a stock one, install some nice pipes, decent suspension, and go ride. If the engine is left stock, they're bullet-proof reliable - and there's still nothing that can compare to them in the sand.
If you race once a year, ride trails with your family, and play at the dunes with the fast guys, then a good '02 and later Raptor 660 will fit the bill. These aren't great at one thing, but they are pretty good at everything. The downside is that they really need better suspension, a wider wheelbase, and some basic engine mods (hi-compression piston and different cam) to work well at all. In stock form they are slow, soft, narrow and sketchy at speeds above 40 mph. Though some owners have years of trouble-free service, they can be un-reliable.
An even better option for a rider that does everything would be the Raptor 700 - these are very under-estimated machines. Right out of the box they're great fun and super reliable - no modifications required.
Another one you didn't mention is the Suzuki/Kawasaki LTZ400 - totally under-appreciated machines that are just like the Raptor 700, great fun for pretty much any type of riding, but under-powered for advanced riders in the sand or on the track. Modifiying these engines gets really expensive. But you can usually pick up a used one very cheap.

Disregard the prices and try riding them. I'd get the raptor for it's impeccable power and it's handling, as well as it's aggressive look. I mean, imagine seeing one chasing you, it's an intimidating quad (not like it'd be chasing you anyways, it's too fast).

trx450 because their is less maintenance (4 stroke), parts are half the cost, and the raptor 660 is obsolete.
