It called skin bleaching. Vitiligo doesnt fade skin gradually and he doesnt have the disease. He used a quemical called benzoquinone to acomplish this, and gradually killed all his melanocites. This is permanent, and many people have done it, if you look at lil kim, she was dark, now she very light. Couple of years more, she will be white.

He Honestly has a Rare skin condition that affects African Americans. He may have had some Bleeching done to help remove Blotching. But it does come from a Skin condition. Sorry I cannot give you its medical term.

He had vitiligo disease and because of that he decided to bleach the whole skin ,otherwise some part of it could remained darker and it was not suitable for a singer as famous as he was(is).He had no other choice I guess.

he got it bleached because he had a skin condition that caused skin that was exposed to the sun to lose pigmentation
