congratulations, let it be known to quell the myths of low quality autos made in the USA,but these achievements are not here by accident,it comes with adhering to strict maintenance in your vehicle ,the vehicle with the highest miles without a major repair done to it is a Subaru impress with 357,000 miles on it ,I still am a firm believer in vehicle maintenance ,since if we do not take care of our bodies we will not enjoy old age,the same goes for vehicles, congratulations,a lesson well deserved.

well i have seen a few vehicles with mileage higher then that the first would have been a 1996 frieghtliner with well over a million miles on it and since you are porobaly thinking well that is a semi how bout a four wheel car or truck then i would say the million mile dodge ram that was in towbin dodge in henderson nevada, it had a million miles on it also i am not sure if its still at the dealership but it was when i worked there, and finally i own a 1976 jeep cherokee chief with an estimated 750000 miles on it the previous owners had it since it was new and drove it across country and throughout canada they also told me they had several engine rebuilds and a few transmissions put in since they couldnt bear to get rid of the thing

1977 Chevy one ton dually 847,164 miles. came out factory 350 with roller cam steel crank high nickel block and hand fitted bearings. i have dated pictures of every 100,000 put on it. since 1982. still drove every day. going for Chevy's million mile march. have replaced 8 carrier brgs. 3 pinion brgs.4 transmissions and put new valve seals in. this truck has been driven hard with a fully loaded 25 ft.dual tandem goosneck trailer on road trips and has never not brought us home. that explains the drive-train problems and believe me I'm not complaining. when it was bought in 77 the exhaust was taken off immediately and replaced with one straight pipe out the back and no muffler and created little back pressure which helped this mile crusade.
