Try showing the students pictures of famous R&B artists, and bring in songs for them to listen to as well. Say something like, "Aujourd'hui, je voudrais vous dire de musique American qui s'appelle 'R&B'; j'ai des examples pour vous." Play the music; show them how you can dance to it; invite students to dance with you.
I would need to know more about what context this is in to give better advice.

its called rhythym and beat so say it in french and show em some songs :-) they will be pimpin b4 you know it
