Section 8 is for renting, however, there are similiar things available for receiving a house loan, but credit checks still apply.

A section 8 voucher is for renting only. If you want to buy with a low income go to the local Housing and Redevelopement office in your county and apply for a home loan, only if it's your first home. They will help you qualify for a low interest and low payment home.
