haha... dude what are you talking about? I guess its IP address.

Yes by checking for the full header of an email you can actually see the originating IP address but i guess nowadays its masked.

all Pc's, servers, routers etc use Id ports to identify traffic going in and out. Basically all traffic needs a way to communicate...be it internet, email, ms updates etc...what you dont want is unwanted traffic on unknown ports. the best and easiest way to judge this...is to use something like Mcaffee 'full edition" which tells u what ports are using what....if in doubt and you don't have or want a professional firewall product...you can always use XP firewall which is pretty good...comes part of Windows XP
