I saw that someone had scrawled something about a young girl on a bus today, and it alleged that she had had sex with over 70 guys. Why is she labeled a whore, but nothing is said about the guys? I understand about the double standard, but why is it still in existence?

Why do we, as women, allow this double standard to still be in practice? If a woman/girl sleeps around, and is called names, it should be the same for the men/boys. What do you think?

You make a good point. It is part of a double standard that still exists in a society where men still hold the majority of power positions. I do believe however, there is less acceptance of promiscuous behavior by men.

Men who sleep around are admired by the guys. Women seem to see these things differently.
