I do that all the time, sometimes when I still feel I'm right, just to put it behind me.

This summer I went on a trip to a popular water park with a very good friend and some other people from work. I ended up getting a flat tire on the way and my so called friend in the car behind me did not stop to help. In fact she did not even call me to ask if I needed help. When I finally got to the park (two hours later than everyone else because it was Sunday and I had to wait for a place to open so I could get a new tire) the people that I didn't know all asked where I was and then apologized but she did not. Instead she tried to make a joke of it. It was too soon for me to laugh about it and I snapped at her. I was sorry for that but never said so. She hasn't spoken to me since. I have given her compliments on some things but I haven't apologized. I'm not sure that not having the nerve is the reason that I can't apologize since I think she was wrong to pass me up and then laugh about it. However, if I had the nerve to apologize, I would probably know whether I should forgive the incident and try to be friends again.

I do have enought nerve to say I'm sorry it is the right thing to do if you really mean it. And you can feel awhole lot better about yourself .If they refuse it then move on and hold your head up high.....You are the BIGGER person

I have the nerve, I made the apology and I hope it is enough, I only wish I would have made it sooner, it made me feel better then it made them, I think?!

I think if more people did this world would be a better place. It takes strength to forgive, so there is definite truth in the saying "the stronger man turns the other cheek."
