Manual says to first pour 2.5 liters /US quarts of new motor oil into emptied reservoir. Then start engine for a couple minutes. Shut off, open resevoir cover and pour remaining 2.4 liters into reservoir to fill. Total oil in 2 phases amounts to 4.9 liters. More than a V-8 engine by the way.

Before you put the oil in the tank, look on the back of the engine for a large plug. Itf it has one, it should be on the back of the engine directly behind the rear cylinder. My Roadstar has one that I put the oil into, it goes straight into the engine instead of having to be pumped from the tank on the first start-up.
